Linder Sterling is an visual and performance artist who is well known for her radical feminist beliefs and communicates her views in collages/montages which she uses images taken from a pornographic magazines and fashion and domestic magazines - making a point about about the cultural expectations of women and the treatment of the female body as a commodity.
I decided to look at Linder because after looking at the cut up collage's by Richard Hamilton and the Guerrilla Girls - I liked how Linder's work has used and distorted the female figure, I'm not a huge fan of her overly-explicit work but I like the idea that comes across from this.
I could try to look at going into more detailed collages like what Linder does and use more domestic appliances next.
