Richard Hamilton's Collage

"Just What Is It That Makes Today's Homes So Different, So Appealing?"

This piece was a college of images from America that was to show the different influences of American advertisement in Britain and both questions and celebrates these influences by Richard Hamilton.

Focusing on three separate components I would first look at the tinned ham, growth in consumer products in the supermarkets after the second world war. The second feature would be the Movie Theatre out of the window, this would be there to show the birth and growth in celebrity culture and birth of the golden age in Hollywood.

The final one would be the arrow sign and cleaner on the stairs, what I got from this is that it would be inspired by the American dream, and the ideology that everyone can go further and be better then everyone else.
